Walmart going solar in some new stores

Walmart is serious about some green initiatives. The company has received a lot of heat for not being envirinmentally friendly. But even they know its good publicity to be green. Plus it can save them many dollars.
Walmart has added 5 stores with solar power that now total 20. They include some Sam’s Clubs, Walmarts and distribution centers in Hawaii and California. The latest 5 are going to be in Puerto Rico.
The solar systems will be built by SunEdison which is North America’s largest solar energy services provider. They build the systems and operate them and sell the generated solar power to Walmart.
Solar will provide 25 to 35 percent of electrical needs in these big box buildings.

How about in Minny? Just kidding.
Anyway, I think they should also pay attention to the plastics they are using A LOT. But still, good job on these steps.

Thats exactly what we need. Is big conglomerates jumping on the eco train. Most importantly, we need the car manufacturers to do the same.

Good for Walmart! They seem to be getting a little more compassionate as time goes by, can’t complain about the development.

I must say that WalMart is actually becoming much more eco-friendly. I was in a store the other day when I noticed the huge skylights in the ceiling were providing most of the light in the store. And then when the sun started shining bright, the lights shut off automatically to conserve power. Very Smart.

I would like to advertise and have the company I am partnered with listed under your GREEN RETAILERS. They are an INC 500 manufacturing company. They manufacture eco-friendly and wellness oriented products. The entire company is green and has been for 24 years. From the recyclable shipping material to the motion sensor lights, they have been committed to being green long before green was popular. They have received a variety of awards including the BBB 2009 Torch Award.
Is there someway I could communicate with you about this? Also, I am interested in advertising with you. Could you send me a media kit? MomsOptions@yahoo.com
Thanking your in advance for your time and attention.
