Cute lanterns are pencil sharpeners

These cool lanterns are more than just cute. These Eco Twinkle lights are actual pencil sharpeners. Well you don’t have to sharpen a pencil. You can just crank it!
Apparently, pencil sharpeners and human powered generators have the same mechanical twist structures. The designer has combined the two inventions to make a dual function.
There is not telling how long the light lasts. But for a lot of tasks in the dark yard, attic, or basement you only need the light for a few minutes.

Well done. If the battery lasts a long time and the output is strong enough, this is the wave of the future for small rooms/attic. I find it cool to crank the handle.

Last year I came across pencils and colored pencils made from recycled newspaper tightly rolled around the graphite core and covered in some sort of glue-y stuff called TranslationsPencils. I don’t think their containers have the same benefits (there’s a plastic window and it is not mentioned on the package if it is made from recycled materials of any sort). The pencils don’t have erasers. They aren’t perfect either, but it’s another idea.
