Cell Phone that charges while you twirl and spin it!

I can see it a little addicting twirling this phone around your finger. There is a model that spins around your finger pictured here. Another model is of the crank variety.
Well now you will have no excuse to have a dead cell phone battery. I wonder how quickly it charges?

Both an awesome and crazy idea at the same time. I mean people throw their Nintendo Wii controllers through TVs. I can’t even imagine these things flying around at shopping malls all around the country.
That being said… to be able to charge your phone without a charger is a great option.

This is a fantastic idea; even better than the crank model - Looks stylish and fun and I bet it will be a great hit with teens and kids. There’s even news of prototype chargers being developed that could charge your phone while you are dancing (when strapped to your arm), translating your body’s kinetic energy into electricity. Pretty interesting times ahead!

Geez now I have seen it all. Great idea as cell phones are widely used. Reminds me of the wrist watches that would wind up with the shake of your wrist. Great post.

That rocks! It’s a perfect combination of fun and eco-friendly. I do a lot of camping and canoeing. Most of the time I get cell reception in the woods or on the river, but my battery usually dies too quickly. The only problem is that I wouldn’t be able to use a dead battery as an excuse for why I’m not taking calls.

This cell phone reminds me of the time in high school when all my classmates are twirling their pens with their fingers. It used to drive my teachers crazy. Now you can do it with a cell phone! I imagine a lot of cell phones ricocheting here and there if this becomes a fad. Are these shock-proof?

its a great idea till ur in the subway and right as the subway train comes by, the phone flings of your finger and gets pulverized by the subway train
February 5th, 2010 at 1:55 pm |
Simply amazing. I’ll never have to charge the cell phone again. I can spin it while sitting in my home theater seating.
February 6th, 2010 at 2:21 am |
That’s cool, but seems like a lot of work just to get 2 more minutes of talk time. I wonder if there’s a way for a battery to get extra charge by absorbing movement as the phone is used, or even by somehow absorbing energy from the sound waves as people talk….?
February 7th, 2010 at 11:04 pm |
Cool Cell phone! It’s energy and time saving as you just have to use your finger to charge your phone. This is very helpful especially to those people who are busy and always on the go. I hope that it’s a user friendly cell phone and everyone will enjoy using it. Nice Blog!

Ok, have any of you ever actually twirled anything for an extended period of time? Keyrings, necklaces, tools, you name it, they all fly off very easily. I can’t wait for the first “Man looses eye to girlfriends twirling battery” headlines. Wouldn’t it make a lot more sense to just add a small solar panel and converter to the largest flat surface on the battery? Or maybe a retractable outlet cord. I mean come on. is this really the best they can come up with?
