Simple Shoes comes out with biodegradable footware
The 2010 shoe line of Simple Shoes will include their first collection of biodegradable footwear. The outsoles and midsoles break down to dirt in a landfill in 20 years.
Plus they are made from sustainable materials including hemp uppers, recycled car tire bottoms, organic cotton linings, recycled plastic bottles and foot beds, and water based glues.
Simple Shoes developed EcoPure which is a pellet mixture containing tiny microbes. These microbes begin to eat away at the compounds that hold the materials together until what is left is dirt. It is Ecopure that is added to the midsoles and outsoles…

Boom a dream come true the first true green biodegradable shoes. Who would think? This Eco Pure stuff should be in every shoe and sustainable materials are a natural fit. Really this posting blows my mind. Go green footwear I have seen the future and it is GREEN…

I would not mind wearing those pair of shoes. I keep buying one every month or so, because the old one gets ruined.

When I first saw those pictures I was appalled.
The last one is HORRIBLE. Advocating penetration? With A HUGE CHAINSAW?
When I forwarded my mom the email I sent the editor at Juxtapoz, she said,”some artists think that you have to be offensive to be edgy and provocative when really it just takes more thought and imagination to do it without being offensive.”
