Suzuki Prototype Vehicle includes Segway-like scooters

SSC PIX fuel cell transport and scooters
Suzuki is working on a sleek modern transport as seen in the last Tokyo Auto Show. The Suzuki SSC + PIXY is 2 vehicles actually. The SSC is a “SUzuki Sharing Coach”, which is a mini car that can actually fit 2 PIXY’s. So I suppose this invention will be for 2 people.

Anyways the PIXY is like a Segway, where a person rides alone in an almost upright position. It seems the person can actually sit in it and be protected from the elements with the canopy, in contrast to the Segway.

You will be able to charge up the PIXY inside the SSC which is fuel cell powered.

No word on when its coming to a dealership near you.

Suzuki continues to be ahead of its time. They have also teamed up with fuel cell maker Intelligent Energy to create a prototype fuel cell motorcycle they’re testing now called the Crosscage.

Are those arm-holes on the sides? I’m thinking it might be difficult to use these in the same way as a Segway since you don’t have the ability to reach outside without opening the canopy.

Still a very cool idea. Can’t wait to see one of these pull up, pop open the back, and disperse little scooters out the back.

Lol, well, in the future, people would be too lazy to walk I guess thats why they invented this thing. There would come a time that walking would no longer be a form of transportation but it would be only recreation.
