A new eco friendly clothing company owned by members

Nvohk is a brand new eco friendly clothing company for surfers. They have an innovative business model in that the company is owned by members. Anyone can join to be a member of this company. Benefits are almost like being a shareholder of a company except you have more say in the running of the company. What’s special is that 10% of net profits go directly to environmental charities!!
Some of the member benefits include–
-35% of net profits get distributed back to members as points that can be used to buy Nvohk products
-you get a Nvohk t-shirt, sticker, and “plant a tree” seed pack
-members receive business updates on a regular basis and get to participate in logo design, product design, advertising, and the sponsoring of athletes or musicians
-a discount of 25% at Nvohk.com
Novk will start operations as soon as 5,000 members join and it will be capped at 40,000 members. The annual membership fee is $50.

Hey thanks for the great blog, love this stuff. I don’t usually do much for Earth Day but with everyone going green these days I thought I try to do my part.
I am trying to find easy, simple things I can do to help stop global warming (I stress easy, I don’t plan on going out and buying a hybrid). I took the Earth Day Challenge that EarthLab.com is promoting ( http://www.earthlab.com/ ) and I am planning on lowering my score. They have some pretty good tips (they call them pledges).
I am looking for more easy fun stuff to do. If you know of any other sites worth my time let me know.

I know from first hand that organic cotton clothing is a great way to naturally alleviate some skin conditions.
That is an easy call since conventional methods of cotton production use such harsh chemicals.
I have heard some varying numbers on the amount, but everyone agrees the chemicals just are bad for the earth and us.
“Traditional cotton production also attributes to 25% of worldwide insecticide use and 10% of worldwide pesticide use.”
