Why? Wellll.... for one thing... it's a hell of a lot more fun to drive :) :) :) You get ~30 mpg on gas. It's waaaay more thrilling to drive. You can carry about as much cargo, if not more: how about 8' lengths of lumber strapped onto the sidecar? Easily done!! On a SmartCar... no way!!!! Chicks dig it, and they smile and wanna ride in the sidecar ;) (and that's always an important consideration) And with a small dog as the "monkey", everyone goes "Awwwwhhhhh..."
