Viesso is stylish and environmentally friendly customized to your wants
Elegant contemporary normal looking furniture on the outside, but on the inside its all eco friendly. By Viesso

All the wood from the upholstered furniture comes from green sources. The exposed wood furniture is made from bamboo from China. Bamboo is technically a grass and grows very fast, unlike trees. Moreover, it can be harvested by hand thus reducing the impact on the environment. Bamboo grows to a height of 6 inches and matures in 5-6 years.
The fabrics for Viesso’s furniture is green as well. It contains a good amount of recycled content and mostly natural fibers. The same goes for the fillers of the cushions ! Natural latex comes from the sap of rubber trees, and is a naturally derived biodegradable.. The feather fill options also come from birds that are being raised for food or other reasons. Of course they are cleaned from non-toxic substances.
Even the metals are made of recycled or durable materials. Metals can be recycled indefinitely without losing any of their properties, which makes their impact on the environment minimal.
Viesso even takes their furniture back and recycles it too.
You can customize your furniture online. Choose your layout, pick a filling, pick a fabric, pick a leg and have your sofa in 3 weeks!
Somebody tell me how much this costs! I don’t think hippies can afford this, not even sophisticated ones !
Check Viesso out today and tell me about it…

Hi. I have seen their site and you can customize the furniture that you want, and price out the different choices. I emailed them because I did not know from their site if their products were stained and sealed with nontoxic products. They confirmed that they were nontoxic. I did make a comment to them that I wish that there could be an option to make their furniture more traditional since many of the green design out seems to be more contemporary.
Some furniture out there are claiming to be green because they use sustainable sources in making the furniture, but make sure that the glues, stains, and sealers they use are low or nontoxic and the fabrics do not have formaldehyde or other harmful chemicals in them. If they use cotton, see if they have organic cotton as a choice. Nice post! anna www.green-talk.com

Arhaus is a company that has SOME furniture that is antique or tradional looking that is from sustainable sources. CHeck them out. Viesso seems like they are doing a great job. They are too pricey for me though… Stop by again!

I’m sure the article author meant 6 feet and not inches when referring to the overall height bamboo reaches.
I like bamboo as an eco-friendly choice in alternative building materials. It has a nice exotic grain and there are manufacturers here in the United States that have started importing bamboo boards for construction. Seems to be a good resource these days that is easy on our environment. ~Phil

Those sofas look amazing, but that double bed looks like it would be quite uncomfortable

Really nice sofa beds. Just the white one that looks a bit uncomfortable… I think more and more people should start living green. The other day I even read about green wedding bands - definitely a sign that the world’s moving that way
