Recyled wine furniture from Uncommon Goods

Recylced Wine Barrel Side Table
Made of recycled white oak barrels that are usually thrown away after a few years. Hand made in the state of Georgia. $350.

Recyled Wine Barrel Side Cabinet
Made from a full wine barrel, this cabinet features an inner storage shelf, a removable maple serving tray and casters. It’s a perfect for the next wine and cheese party. This barrel is made of white oak as well. Handmade in Georgia. $850.

Wine Barrel Folding Chair
Folding chair is handmade from salvaged 70-gallon oak wine barrels. Folds almost completely flat, so you can store it anywhere, and looks as great indoors as it does in the yard. Each is finished with linseed oil and branded with the name of the winery of origin under the seat. Handmade in Northern California. $165.

Wine Barrel Kitchen Island and stool
Handsome Russian River Kitchen Island and matching Winemaster’s Tasting Stool made of retired oak wine barrels.. At one time the barrels used to make these furniture pieces were used to ferment and age wine to give it a mellow, oak-y flavor. Now, they receive new life as architectural elements. The kitchen island’s butcher block top is ideal for food preparation and serving. Second shelf is a great location to store wine bottles; its gentle curve keeping them centered at all times. Above the shelf, barrel slats have been arranged so you can hang your wine glasses from them.
The Tasting Stool is equally beautiful and the curve of the barrel slats make for a perfect seat. This kitchen island and stool set will be the talk of any get-together or party… Handmade in Georgia. Sold separately. $200-$600.

Wow, I love these pieces! It’s amazing what you can make out of something that’s been used for another purpose isn’t it?

I think I would rather make some more wine in those barrels rather than make that stuff. Neat ideas, I just don’t see how anyone would put that stuff in their house.
