Sony launching eco laptops
Sony is selling some very stylish and colorful laptops that have eco friendly features. The Vaio FZ series are slim in design and come in four designs. There is a pink laptop and a leapard print laptop that will surely turn heads.
Eco friendly features include
-Slim design for minimum use of natural resources
-Easy to recycle materials
-Packaging for recyclable materials
-Laptop and battery are eligible for future recycling through sony.
-1% of sales go to Environmental charities through the program “1% for the planet.
Its a good start and these initiatives are something every computer maker should be doing. It seems like the average laptop owner goes through a laptop every 3 years. Most of these end up in the basement storage and then the landfill.

Vaios are stylish for sure. Hope more manufacturers will get on board and follow suit. It’s bad enough that laptops are quite polluting after they’ve reached their shelf life.
